So many of SA articles have become so poorly written that I have pretty much discounted most of what the publish. Too many agendas and not enough facts has become the norm. Too bad, I used to find a lot of interesting information in their material. Todays NRF article was so agenda driven that it wasn't worth the read. IMHO
While there are plenty of SA bloggers who post outlandish things just to get a lot of clicks (and revenue), there are still plenty of authors with wisdom that are well worth reading. Overall I like SA as much as any other finance related portal. Just takes some time to separate the wheat from the chaff.
There is no credential requirements to write. They want more articles. I dont think quality matters as much as frequency.
Then again, you get guys with credentials. I assume, as I read the bio of Lance Brofman the Morl Bozo who seems clueless, and reading a manual. He has credentials... But still doesnt seem like he should be writing any opinion articles.
