    its time

    • Looks like your call was a little early.

With Bernancke greasing the markets and the VIX futures expiring on Tuesday, this ETF can easily get to $95 by next Wednesday.

After that time, the opportunity to short may present itself.

      Good luck.

      • Ralph, what is your opinion on the best time to initiate a position in SVXY? Do you think any time is good, so long as one has a plan to also write covered calls? Or do you recommend waiting for a big spike in spot VIX before buying? My first thought is to wait for a big spike, but I recognize also that in this market, I could be waiting awhile. The SPY could rocket through 170 some day soon and might be quite a bit higher before the next correction. I can only afford 100 shares right now so I guess I can't make too much on covered calls. Do you think with a small position like this it is better to write covered calls for a few months out rather than the nearest month? Problem there I guess is that you could miss out on some pretty big profits if SVXY's price continued too appreciate far past the price you wrote calls for. Thanks for your feedback.

      • I've taken a nice hit since the holiday last week. Should have had a lil more patience/management. Bought some SPY puts this morning, this move is unsustainable, BUT..Does it get to 168-169 on the SPY's before a pullback?..could happen. thats would #$%$ and everyone finally outta the water inmo. If your bullish, you almost want the pullback, right here, right now...Bought some UVXY also this morning @ 48.16 ave...gluton for punishment i guess, we'll see..
