did the same thing rowdyrex...I even got in under a buck...made a double. Am looking again but will wait until it confirms the trend down has halted. And now that they spun off the fertilizer company RNF which pays out a hefty dividend like a mortgage REIT....well, I am looking to get into RNF rather than RTK. This company has a history of wasting money. I am betting they are out there looking to buy something they could not do themselves.
USDA came out with "substantial" corn and bean price declines projected for 2013. I'm looking at this stock, but am waiting until the smoke clears until I step in. Corn and bean prices have had a spectacular bull market, which appears to be running out of steam. Big snows over the droughtly SW regions today. If the precipitation patterns look like they're going back to normal, all ag related stocks will decline IMO. I'm a farm land appraiser and in my 25 yrs. in the business, have never seen farmers so bullish (and arrogant). Their net worths have quadrupled within the last few years as land values skyrocketed. Look at the land value charts...trendlines look like a shuttle launch. These trends cannot sustain themselves and the table is set for a break in values and all ag related stocks will take a hit IMO.
