Someone on Mtly fool talks about Cisco....for XEN.....but
I would like to clarify a point in your article above -
"from the previously open-source Xen project. Citrix Systems owns Xen now, giving that company a bit of leverage on what happens in the broader virtualization market."
The Xen.org open source community is alive and well and is very much active, see our recent Xen 3.4 release announcement at www.xen.org. The community is not owned by Citrix and is rather an open source project controlled by a multi-company Advisory Board. It is misleading to indicated that Citrix has shut down the community and owns it. Thanks.
True stuff about Xen. However, by Citrix making their XenServer free, I think that was a play to get more folks to just adopt their product vs. using the "freeware" Xen. I think the Amazon deal was a big push for this. I am still now sure how it will all play out, but it sure is interesting.
