OK, so VMW leads virtualization Cloud, neither is a leader. Wash. User Virtual Computing, CTXS leads. 3-5 years from now, where will be the money? toward CTXS, no doubt in my mind. Citrix is in the drivers seat.
I agree Vmware is leader in SERVER virtualization But cloud is an open fight.
But also Desktop Virtualization (VDI) looks like Citrix has Vmware beat. It's a very insaturated market where there is so much room to grow. Why push out 500-1000 desktops when you can virtalize them for cheaper on the backed now, less management, less resovery, less helpdesk, more mobile access options. Citrix knows this game much better than Vmware. Vmware is buying up 3rd party companies to fit in VDI puzzle for pieces its missing. They are behind citrix in this area.
