So people, what do you think is happening

Ruling on the second Ebix filing requesting that the class action case be dismissed based on the recent Meyer decision coming? I've been expecting it for some time now. The case has nothing to keep it going; it should have been dismissed on the first request. Some on the internet say that this appointed judge doesn't know law. Ebix argument was done 8/21/2013; the ruling should be coming soon.

      Hi,

May I ask where you read that this judge doesn't know the law? In any event, the worst case scenario for most of these type of shareholder driven lawsuits is some type of settlements that don't materially impact the status-quo and future growth of the company's business.

Would, nonetheless, be interested in finding out the outcome.

      -PA.

      • I googled the judge's name months ago. He was not discribed as worthy of office. Of course, judges often make enemies, however, he did gain office by political appointment. As I remember, his background was not what I would expect for his appointment. It has been too long now to remember specifics. The judge's decision has to be coming soon. From what I had read, the Meyer decision makes the Ebix case impossible to go forward in its present form.
