Selling under the cover of strength in the market...not good.

      • Certainly. Look at the daily chart for today around noon time when I posted the comment. PRFT had stalled out at around 17.85 near the day's high and then proceded to sell off to 17.50 as the market roared higher. As of this time it has failed to recover to the day's highs. This is not a sign of strength in such a strong market. I am long but would like to see much more impressive volume than we are having today and a kickass move to the upside. It has not happened as the DOW has tacked on over 500 points in 2 days! I think this spells more backing and filling to come because the market rally is superheated and will pull back. It will be constructive to watch PRFT as the market digests this move in the coming days and maybe pulls back several hundred points.
That said, an afternoon closing run by PRFT with increased volume would be very constructive.

    • PRFT has moved up almost three dollars in two weeks. We will see 20+ by year end. PRFT always has a strong run into December and Jan, this year will be the same...

    • Guido, You do not know what you are saying.
Prft has gone up ahead of this upturn and will digest those gain before another move up. Main thing is we are over the 50 mda and 5 up days in a row.

    • Aloha yukii

Ii is unfortunate that you choose to attack me personally. It really doesn't strengthen your point and we all have opinions to share. I am still curious as to your assessment of the PM downturn. All I'm suggesting is that it appears PRFT is lagging in the current rally and may well test the recent lows as the market backs and fills from the huge run up. If you disagree, fine. You don't have to resort to personal attacks in an attempt to make your point.

    • As you were so quick to point out I don't know what I was saying and you underscored that by saying "Main thing is we are over the 50 mda ...." just for clarification to you and others who may have been misled by your observation PRFT knifed through the 50DMA on October 9th when on huge volume of 2.3 million shares it plummeted from 24.19 to close at 20.69. The rest, as they say, is history. The 50DMA value now resides around 19.5 and some day, when PRFT DOES break above the 50dma that will be a very positive sign.

PS: The 200DMA is now at 20.75.

    • When you said I didn't know what I was saying and you pointed out we were above the 50DMA (but we really are 2 points below) you also said we have had 5 up days in a row...but, Yukii ol chap, I think if you look closely, it was actually 4. But, what the hell, I don't know what I'm saying.

    • Guido,

I was about to point out both factual errors but you beat me to the punch. I too have been long in this stock and have been around a long time trading PRFT and posting here. Much less lately.

In addition the reason I think it might be time to sit back and watch this quarter is the failure to beat guidance this past quarter. They have consistently done this for a very long time.

There have been alot of acquisitions over the past 5 years and it seems some of the rivets are starting to pop. Proof will be Q4. But any bullish talk now is show not factual.

    • Thanks Bueno...I agree. However, I think their strategy will ultimately prove successful. The acquisitions, at least so far, seem to be rational and usually immediately accretive. Balance sheet is sound and revenue projections are fine. It had a dramatic run up and lots of that profit is being rung out with new holders coming on board in the mid to upper teens. Once this stock is cleaned up it should take on a better tone. I too look forward to Q4 and into Q1/08 to vindicate their strategy further. If it does we could have an interesting run. The whole market still has me nervous, however, notwithstanding the rally of the last 2 days. Good luck.

    • Guido, nice call on this move down. You called it right on. Testing lows.
