Glaschutte: My thoughts on BARDA
BARDA is everywhere in Cahoun and Saad's presentations. Very important indeed and yet no one can control how the DC guys will make this important decision.
Thoughts: I think there is a very good chance that CYTX will continue in the contract. Why?
1. Use of stem cells or autologous mixed cells for wound healing is nothing new (I mean the science works), except that FDA has not yet given the formal approval. Brooke Army Hospital in San Antonia is using this technology and based on my prior knowledge, Israel Military is also using it. The technology works.
Why would the FDA and DoD go against this very important technology? No good reasons.
2. CBLI goes in a different direction and their methodologies have been explored for years in the academic circles (at least 45 years) and yet they have gone nowhere. WE cannot extrapolate BARDA's decision re CBLI to the case of CYTX. They are two different decisions. Decision re CYTX is actually more obvious than that for CBLI.
Yea,but they "MAXIM" are stating 2020 before we see $10.00.I've had skin in this game since 2009,and am only ahead 0.14 cents a share as of today.I really think I can do better.I know that my PG,DUK,SE,or KO can do a lot better than the Biotech sector.Yes,I am seriously considering selling my shares.
