Like many, I've had a very thoughtful week. After getting completely knocked cold last Monday, thinking the worst thoughts possible, I am gradually working my way to a clearer point.
I relished time with my wife and children, took comfort in all that I have and quite honestly have been spending some time looking inward and praying a lot.
But enough of that. There's been some very interesting commentary here and on the KERX board. I'd like to recover some of the the stock losses here. To me the most interesting question is:
How much did the KERX CEO know last Monday? Is it possible he had a complete set of data and they have chosen not to release it? Even in past failed studies, data is released. Is it possible he only had the median OS data and a deeper view will bring back a positive light onto perifosine?
Yes, I'd like to make some $$$, but I do think it is far more important to find and use MANY different treatments for the terrible curse of cancer. Perifosine has had so much promise, not just for mCRC. I implore both companies to not give up.
Hey joli where there's life there's hope. Hope for an investment is pretty pathetic but it's a home run compared to quitting the game. And what you say is true at least in that you never know. And -108 might get you home next year too.
Just one other thing. Maybe we can recover like INFI and maybe AEZS can demonstrate use for perifosine in other ways, similar to INFI's saridegib drug. There are so many similarities to perifosine, from the unique way the drug works, to the failed trial, to finding other uses.
AEZS, do not give up on what still has the potential to be a wonder drug.
