---it's called 'painting the tape". This is just a wild guess, but I do believe this stock is under accumulation at these levels. If that's the case, you paint the tape at days end in order to attract additional sellers on the next trading day.
Really, marking the price down attracts more sellers?
You had better get on the phone to the marketing Department at Macy's and JC Penney!
Personally, I find it more attractive when a stock is lower if I actually understand the business.
Painting the tape it is; and accumulation is the name of the game, indeed.
