Starting July 1. Burn in He!! Jerry Brown A@@H*#& It already cost enough to drive to Vegas with gas well over $4 buck in Calif.
#$%$ Brown, and every democrat.
No doubt it is George Bush's fault...
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Unbelievable, simply unbelievable. I am already paying over $4 for gas and the high price summer months have not started yet. Gas my hit $5 (again) but stay at $5.
I have been trying to decide on Buying Commercial Property in Silicon Valley or Buying a Lakefront home in Nevada. I might just go lakefront home and watch California's economy collapse.
Home ownership in California is only 55% (it's 65% nationwide). No wonder, too many taxes, and too many noncitizens soaking up those taxes.
On our recent drive to Las Vegas just a week ago we stopped in Casper WY to fill gas. It was $2.99 for Regular Gas and $3.19 for Premium Gas. Just Sayin'
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Those tax dollars help the unfortunate. As a rich person you should be happy your helping others.
People need to help themselves Up and by doing so they help other people too. If I want coffee at 5 AM at McDonalds someone has to be there willing to work (helping themselves) to give me my coffee (helping others). Now, they can work a part time job too then start their own Coffee shop and make much more money.
That is how Capitalism works, and it works great.
I'm 100% in favor of a reasonably constructed, social safety net that helps those in need, but not to the extent that they would CHOOSE those benefits over meaningful work. Our country as a whole, and Califorina in particular, have gone way past such an equilibrium.
As Art Laffer illustrated in an article 2 weeks ago, an unmarried, New Jersey, mother of 2 can easily qualify for more than $40,000 of benefits per year. When she takes a job, each incremental dollar she earns costs here roughly 80 cents in lost benefits...
... she is effectively in an 80% marginal tax bracket... and she would be a FOOL to work.
THAT, is a broken system, ortho... and it's front and center as the reason for our nation's out-of-control, $Trillion dollar deficits and our future bankruptcy.
There is no nation on earth with NEARLY as high of a standard of living at the poverty line than there is in the United States. Not even close.

I am not rich, I have done the right things in life, like live within my means and pay bills first and save. Trust me I have seen these folks that go BK and get there homes taken away and they have made twice as much money than I have ever made. I don't feel sorry for stupid !!
Jerry Brown's plan is the same as Obama's... he want's to "tax" California to prosperity.
High gas prices are hurting Vegas. Stll not to bad in Utah and Arizona. Wife said occupancy is down for the month of Feb.
I just got back from Vegas about a week ago and at the Costco near Sunset Station Gas was 50 to 70 cents a gallon lower than in calif. Jerry Brown S*(k$
