NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- The ex-dividend date for Las Vegas Sands (NYSE:LVS) is tomorrow, March 19, 2013. Owners of shares as of market close today will be eligible for a dividend of 35 cents per share. At a price of $52.54 as of 9:30 a.m. ET, the dividend yield is 2.6%.
The average volume for Las Vegas Sands has been 7.3 million shares per day over the past 30 days. Las Vegas Sands has a market cap of $43.96 billion and is part of the services sector and leisure industry. Shares are up 16.1% year to date as of the close of trading on Friday.
Las Vegas Sands Corp. develops, owns, and operates integrated resorts in Asia and the United States. The company has a P/E ratio of 28.8, above the S&P 500 P/E ratio of 17.7.
And that put a total of $4.10 of dividends into my pocket for every share of LVS and this dividend is our one year anniversary for dividend payments. So, $1.40 per year going forward with a management stated objective to increase dividends.
