I was gonna post earlier that our Mgt team seemed out of touch and paralyzed. Well, I guess they are not; they are out there TRYING to stop the bleeding and just came out with a short PR:
"Optionable Reports Record Volume in Crude Oil Options
Last Update: 5:50 PM ET May 3, 2007
VALHALLA, N.Y., May 3, 2007 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Optionable, Inc. , a leading provider of natural gas and other energy derivatives brokerage services, today announced setting record volume in the NYMEX Sweet Light Crude Oil (LO) contract of approximately 21,300 sides, representing approximately 11.2 percent of the total NYMEX LO volume. About Optionable "
Well, at least they did SOMETHING. Nice to see the crude oil biz taking off. Maybe someday BOM will seem like a small speedbump in the highway of life....
Notice the difference in percentage of volume going to OPBL? 7.5% (0ne day) vs 11% (for the month). Does this reflect the loss of BOM business? I know this is just one days volume, but it struck me? I am not short, but very long? Just want to know. Also I don't see this effecting the bid and ask. I am looking at TD Ameritrade. Should I look somewhere else. Again I would love this to go up tomorrow.
bid - ask after the end of day for otc stock does not post
and they clear the settings in the morning
only AMEX & NYSE show for TD Waterhouse - after & pre markets (and even then you still have to guess the open somewhere in the middle usually)
and Canadian quotes, fyi, are frozen "as-is" in after hours (as the previous day's orders are shown on level 2 until about 4am the next morning) then they clear it for the new day's orders
try placing a bogus order 30 sec before close (good for 2 days or so) and you will see what I am talking about
nothing replaces experience - not even reading this
lick my balls to anyone who wants to (and even you Jesus - yes sir yee if there be) since it is the order of the day, lol!
i'm sure that the % varies from day to day...even getting 7% of the total after being such a new offering seems an incredible achievement.
mentioning the %'s the way they are has more of a ring of truth than anything else....to me at least
although i'm not certain that Nymex and Opbl hasn't been greatly aided by this crash in price with respect to the warrants, i think the storm has past...
ivegotgasfutures could you elaborate on "90's platform". I don't mean to sound rude, but I call bullshit. You have no idea what you're talking about and are just talking out your ass. Where's Aune I miss her, she's probably hanging in a shower at the YMCA
Here is the message, IMO, that OPBL management is trying to send to all of Wall Street with its PR this afternoon:
"THERE IS PLENTY OF LIFE, AND GROWTH, FOR US APART FROM BOM.
AND DONT YOU FORGET IT."
Damn now we get a potential spike tomorrow. I was hoping for a week of consolidating and then some nice news.
This will all play out and we will make some dough here.
Good luck tomorrow.
Don't count your cards before the bleeding is over. I am not certain it has stopped! They have sliced and diced us beyond comprehension, surely it is going to stop soon. Yet, they have virtually beat me and drained all my blood as I hold tightly to these shares. Why? Because they can not destroy a company that has record growth and the financial backing of a powerhouse (NYMEX). They know if that happens the SEC will have no choice but to investigate and find the source of company's death. However, don't underestimate their motives...they may very well continue to slice us, those who hold LONG will be fine...So as they continue to beat just take it like a man, cover your nuts and come back later.
