    What's up with Crocs Sizes?

I ordered some Work Bistro clogs from the site in my usual size. When they arrived, they were MASSIVE. Not really just a roomy fit. More like totally wrong on the sizing. I exchanged them for some classic clogs that have regular sizing. I think Crocs will need to slash prices on their oversized shoes and dump them to clear the inventory.

    • The clogs are designed to be relaxed fit. Which means you need to order down a size or round down a 1/2 size or even a whole size. There is a recommendation for sizing with each type of shoe I believe, it's listed below the color selection I think.

      • LOL @ relaxed fit. The truth is there is no real standard anymore in footwear sizing. Not only will one size be different brand to brand but this holds true even within the same brand. When a shoe company talks about "relaxed fit" it's just a way of covering up the fact that they manufactured the shoe wrong.
Also NEVER round your size down. An age old rule of thumb in the footwear industry is that when in doubt, you always go up a size rather than down.
In this case, I would venture to say Crox messed up the pattern which translated into their molds. A very small size problem in a size 8 or 9 becomes a much bigger issue as the size graduated up to the larger sizes. The OP should return the pair he bought and run away from Crocs as quickly as he can.

      • Thank you. I looked at that size chart--still off. Moreover, some of their clogs models have normal sizing while others do not, although they don't distinguish the disparity for ordering purposes--making for a frustrating and inefficient customer experience. Why would the size 11 on the Classic clog be a relatively normal size 11 and yet the size 11 on the Work Bistro be totally off and enormous? I think something went wrong in the manufacturing/labeling process--very inconsistent. At any rate, prices on the Work Bistro have been slashed. Not enough giants, I suppose.
