The launch is NOT guaranteed.
However, the launch will probably happen - sometime later on in the second quarter. But it is not guaranteed.
I wouldn't put too much money in until it happens... or it gets way back down where it was... kind of hard not to make money in the $1.80 to $2.30 range....
But merger? Merger implies a joining as opposed to a buyout. So, I guess, yes.... DSCO could merge with some other small emerging biotech and together they try to form a whole greater than the sum of the parts. You take on more risk by assuming the risks of the other company, but you also increase the chances of success by effectively doubling the number of potential winners.
If it was such a great idea, why haven't all the little biotechs already merged into a single giant colossus and made everybody rich beyond their dreams?? Could management egos and greed to have ALL the cake be standing in the way?
