Ok ; Anyone out there taking the $4.15?
I would bet even odds that Peltz pulls the tender and walks away. He's lost bundles of money all over the map. Look at CEM, for example. He's underwater on everything. The only reason he even owns WEN is because he tried to get the old Wendy's to get bought by someone else, but no one wanted it! So the board called his bluff, and he got old Triarc to buy it. Now he owns it, and it is still a POS. Remember old man Kerkorian tendering for Ford stock at $8+? What an idiot.
WEN is or was a strong company. If Arby's don't blow it the stock is worth $10. The property that WEN owns alone is worth the asking price.
I sure hope so Check out the Jan 2010 10 calls. Even though these are non qualified options the price is pretty telling if you are long the stock.
Has anyone even received an offer?
If the stock is worth $4.15 (or more) why is it selling so far below that today - shouldn't it be a lot closer to $4.15?
WEN is currently dropping with the rest of the market. Look for some interesting movements in this stock as we approach the December 4th deadline.
I got my tender offer in the mail and I'm debating whether or not to sell my shares.
8 dollar stock all day
Agreed. This stock is heading to $8 sooner than later.
I trade WEN, but i think 4.15 is for people that are holding longterm, who are averaged alot higher. I saw insider buying pick back up, so i bought a small position, looking for a move to 4.00 or higher. 3million share purchase after the close. Im assuming a scheduled trade, any input?
They are looking to buy 40 million shares at 4.15 tells me they are looking for it to go much higher, call me crazy. So if they try to buy in open market, this stock should see at least 8 or more.
