The Wendy's Company Message Board

Wi-Fi, Time for Wendy & Arby to update.

Many of us choose a Wi-Fi location many times when we would otherwise go to a Wendy or Arby location.

I think it would also help for Wendy to make the drinks self serve. Speed up service and make it more convenient for refills. Just a better overall experience.

    • Alot are converting over to the self serve drinks, many in my area do that now.

    • I stay away from public Wi-Fi. There is absolutely no reason to think that these are secure.

Self serving drinks... many have tried it and some abandon it. I am not sure why other than too many people buying one small drink and an entire family going back to refill 10 times is all I can think of.

      • I have used Wi-Fi at hotels and other locations as I travel for work and pleasure for several years without a problem. I do use protective software and take other reasonable care.

I was at a McD's yesterday and observed several construction workers, landscape maintenance crews and other outside type workers there. I think all had purchased large drinks and some were using wi-fi. These people for the most part had purchased large meals. The locatin may not have made much from the drinks but sold many large meals that they may not have without the self serve drinks and wi-fi. I do not know the cost compared to sales but my guess is that their business is profitable.

I chose a Moe's today for lunch due to needing wi-fi and my observation was similar to that at McD's yesterday.

My bet is that those establishments have the self serve drinks and wi-fi for good business reasons.
