went to an In and Out burgers that was directly across the street from a Wendys, 330 in the afternoon was there an hour, steady 6 cars on both sides of the drivethrough and 6 or 8 people in the walk up window. Not one customer in Wendys the whole time I was there.... what's wrong with this picture... why is In and Out so popular? Copy what they are doing.
I don't believe that for a second, to be honest. We have an In and Out Burger here and it's always empty. I've driven past it a hundred times and have seen a grand total of perhaps 10 or 12 cars in the drive-through lane. Granted, Wendy's is no McD's when it comes to constant traffic (God only knows why), but In and Out Burger? Please. I've tried it. It's lame.
I need to recant my post. Unfortunately, delete is not an option here, as far as I know. The restaurant I've driven past and tried was not an In n Out, as it turns out. I don't even remember the name, obviously. Perhaps "BIGG Burger" or something like that, if I recall....I don't know. But I'm sure that it won't last very long, having recently (2 years?) been built from the ground up to replace a torn down Taco Bell. Wendy's on the other hand, is a gem among fast food stores, imo, with great sandwiches, fries and frosties that can't be beat.
