I wholeheartedly agree. Sad to say, most analysts are like that. They will downgrade a stock to buy it cheaper ahead of some major event or price increase movement. It's usually a safer bet to buy a stock after a downgrade especially one without merit. In my humble opinion, Yum Brands will make an offer to buy Wendy's, perhaps July. I was fortunate enough to catch the Leap Wireless buyout from ATT last July so I'm hoping the same will happen with Wendy's.
Yeah the timing of that downgrade was very strange. I remember when some analyst (dont remember what firm) downgraded Amzon at around 8 bucks a share back in the early 2000. About a year later it was over 20. JMHO
