    Takeover or Activist Shareholder?

Does anyone have good information, or a lead, on whether there is a takeover brewing or a strong activist shareholder out there with BGG.

The company is soliciting heavy for proxy votes. I received 3 calls in 5 days to vote over the phone.
I received the proxy packet just this Monday, and see that there is a vote on essentially a "poison pill".
Managements and Boards usually only move forward to implement these when their jobs are threatened. I have found over 30 years that the pills never help shareholders - in fact have been screwed by managements that turn down an initial offer, then accept less later - when their personal compensation in a buyout is increased.

So, who is buying, or going to agitate, that has yet to be made public?
BGG management and Board seem to have a concern. The stock price has moved up well the past 10 days - maybe shorts doing a little covering.
Does anyone have a scoop to share?

    • No info on this but have received several phone calls. Also for Strattec that used to be part of this company.

I have refused to vote at all. Even a no vote helps to give them a quorum.

Perhaps they should just arrange to take this company private.

      • I wonder what is going on with this puppy? I wonder if the CEO of Generac, who is gonna be on CNBC tonight at 5pm est, will say anything that will pop this baby a couple of bucks by Friday. Maybe he will say that the demand for generators are unbelievable and they cannot meet even 10% of the demand. As far as the poison pill do you guys really think that is going on or is there a buyer? Is this something that Buffet would be interested or no? I don't follow his holdings but it sure is priced right. There has been a lot of buying lately even with bad earnings. He usually accumulates months before he buys and it seems as though that is what is going on or maybe just the beginning of a short covering. Also, do you guys anticipate a short squeeze due to almost 25% of float is short?? Will this see $25 before $18? Just wondering what everyone thinks?

        Sentiment: Strong Buy
