Perhaps overly optimistic i think there is a reasonable chance that this flu wont get to a "critical mass" and may just fizzle out. I wonder if due to the better world wide reporting and communication in additon to early warning of epidemic or pandemic we get more small pockets of virus reported that just fizzle out. bacteria that incubates up in the hiv population and breaks out from there. One has to wonder if pockets of flu have happened in the past but went with out world wide notice because they did not get documented/reported before they fizzled out. Still the consecuences of a world wide pandemic like in 1918 are worth being concerned about. Given natures history it is likely we will see such occurences once again. My guess would have been anti biotic resistant TB or the like that gets incubated in the HIV population to be the next big threat.
