In the past few months APRI has conspicuously undone everything that Damaj did over the past few years. Although this had to be done for survival purposes, it was still a matter of treating the symptoms and not the disease. The disease, whatever it might be, is still a thriving scourge It's very easy to consider Damaj a moron, who just bought up worthless drugs and got swindled by a couple of French people he met at a conference.
But that's TOO easy. Some sort of quiet desperation drove him to make these ill-advised decisions. For some reason he felt that if he did not act, turning APRI into something else, this show was going to collapse. The fact that in going on two and a half years Vitaros has not created a single Canadian woody certainly seems to indicate that Damaj's fears may be well-founded.
So (gulp) I'm officially going on the record now...(geez this is hard):
There will be no Vitaros launch.
There will be no dilution, other than possibly APRI dumping their shelf discretely as possible.
The disease, whatever in the heck it might be, is too monstrous to cure.
THERE...now you truly have a reason to despise me.
You say that APRI has "undone everthing that Damaj did over the past few years." This is a DESPERATE exaggeration on your part. Bic. While Damaj did make his share of mistakes. a number of important partnership deals were inked under his watch, and these deals are not being "undone."
You claim that "There will be no Vitaros launch."
All indications are that Vitaros will launch in Canada. Abbott made the $2.5 million upfront payment last fall and updated the Vitaros shelf life with Health Canada last November. Apricus is standing by first half launch guidance, and a phase 4 study is being done in Canada. Bic, I don't depise you. I pity you.
And something everyone is also overlooking, is that there is no longer ANY talk of new uses for Nexact other than the Femprox and Vitaros applications. If it was such a great technology, it should have a thousand uses by now..and it doesn't. Nothing.
