I think it was about 1992 when it was still SDGandE. I don't think there any splits as Enova.
The early 2000 power fraud by Enron , manipulation by others and the accusation and settlement of price manipulation by the gas company they brought about the same time really held down the stock for about ten years. Things appear better with SRE being proactive for the California green power initiatives and the cap and trade of CO2. The gulf LNG investments appear solid. The Baja LNG is a problem, but export and re -export rules and commerce may make this ok. The big issue at hand is the problem at San Onofre. This is going to cost someone a lot of money, but who isn't clear yet. Until the San Onofre future is clear and the export on LNG at the gulf are reality, they shouldn't split the stock. Earnings per share could take a big hit or grow much more slowly.
