    I wonder if the GEDU has any impact on this move up today...

    Did you see the GEDU deal from yesterday? Interesting because it shows that Education in China ( especially the english courses) are getting in demand.

    I posted thia yesterday:

    <Pearson, though, seems to be getting a good deal at a net cost of about $155 million for a company that trains Chinese students to speak English. Even after today's stock move, Global Education trades at less than a 10th of the market cap of New Oriental Education (NYSE: EDU ) , but analysts expect it to grow earnings by 38% next year compared to under 30% for its rival.********** However, long term, Wall Street is looking for New Oriental to churn out profits at a 30% clip annually, while only expecting Global to do so at about half that rate*****>

    How big is this going to be for EDU down the road!!

    • Trin;

      Good post. EDU is poised to grow at something like 30% over the next 5 years or so. That is phenomenal growth. The good thing is that it can take place independent of Chinese economic growth as the Chinese middle class seek to educate themselves and their children in English and whatever other subjects they will need moving into a more open economy.

      This stock will make people rich.
