Yes, but only if VTSS get's those wins, and not LSI. I like how you equate VTSS revenues to ADPT, but at some point, that will stop. Then where will ADPT get new revenue from? The commodity card market?
Clearly, this is either a brand new niche market and there may be more players than LSI & Adaptec. If this were really big, more players would be attracted to be number 2 or 3 or ....
Like iPODs from Apple is not a one company market, if there is money to be made, there will be competition. Adaptec nor LSI has established their company as the best maker or cheapest in SAS. Chip & Techn. , ST micro lots of others who have their name out there as the cheapest, made in Indonesia-Malaysia.
For now Adaptec is just looking for widespread acceptance of this technology over others. Next will be keeping the number 1 position and away from the commodity status by pushing SAS forward.
