we shall see..... cnw was over capacity,no room left for freight. cnw made huge,i mean huge rate increases on key customers to reduce capacity. cnw kept the profitable freight,gave the cheap freight back to yrcw. some customers had 50% rates increases and said "ok" with no arguments. we shall see fool..... we shall see
cnw rolled out new load system to increase trailer capacity. cnw is almost done rolling out new handheld computer used at every freight transfer point. up to the minute tracking and reduced misloads .
cnw still breaking freight records even with higher rate.
1) Downfall of YRC due to it's financial woes 2) No unions overhang
How pathetic is it when you've record tonnage, YOY growth in revenue, don't have union obligations and still cannot make a profit. This is what happened in Q1 and they had to announce secondary offering to raise capital. How much crappier can it get in Q2? Well, we will wait and see...
