This has me stumped. Why would Al be that confident about a partnership that wasn't a done deal (at the ASM)? You'd think he'd learn from the past.
So I have to assume there's an unannounced deal waiting in the wings. What are they waiting for? Why not announce it? The only large milestone approaching is data results. But I don't think anyone that heard Al speak (or watched him for that matter) was thinking it was in reference to an Afrezza partnership.
I'm not smelling a deal here and that may be why there's no announcement. Or there may be some bad news coming, i.e. dilution, and that could be why they're hedging. Don't put too much weight in Al's confidence. We know where that leads...
I'm not guessing about a TI partnership in the wings. If you read the comments for those that attended, there's obviously something going on. But I don't believe it was Afrezza related. Which means there's another deal waiting in the wings. Why wait to announce?
