From court doc filed this week. McCool has deposed Jeff Jacobs, son of QCOM founder Irwin Jacobs
McCool has the right to depose 10 QCOM employees or former employees. A filing on Monday revealed the first 3 to be deposed, the job descriptions are taken from QCOM's website.
Jeff Jacobs, son of the Irwin Jacobs, was deposed for about 2.5 hrs. He resigned this summer from QCOM, where he had been teh Chief Marketing Officer and the President of Global Biz Dev.
Charles Persico is the SVP in charge of all of QCOM's RFIC biz from product/IC design thru to production was deposed for nearly 5 hours. He built QCOM's RF engineering team from one (himself) to 350+ engineers. During his employment QCOM has become the number one RFIC supplier worldwide.
Prashant Kantak. VP Biz Dev of QUALCOMM Ventures. Mr. Kantak was responsible for operations in North America and Asia since1999, also responsible for its various corporate development efforts including technology and business strategy, strategic alliances, partnerships and acquisitions.
I would not think McCool/Cawley chose these people simply because they are/were senior executives of QCOM. I would guess that these 3, and the rest to follow, signed the NDAs referenced in a previous court filing. They either tell the truth or commit perjury in a federal court.
