O/T- IF You Are Christian,, Abortion Is Murder

Let me first say that abortion is between the women, her God, and her doctor,, Now, that being said, if you are a true Christian then abortion=murder,, God came down from heaven and FKED Mary, (for those of you who don't know any better, FK means to plant in ancient liturature), and she became with the child Jesus,, can't have it any other way,, life begins at conception,,
IF a women decides to terminate her pregnancy, she and the father (if he can be found) must be forced to watch the baby being sucked from her womb by ultrasound, so as they can see how a baby thrashes and screams for its life as it's being killed,, its not pretty and they need to have that implanted in their minds for the rest of their lives so as when they meet their maker, they can try to rationalize why they took the life of their baby,,
    Harsh-yes,, Reality-Absolutely

    Sentiment: Hold

    • Why am I not surprised by your post Craig?

    • Doc, is it murder when your profession kills over 100,000 yearly through errors and incompetence?
And what about miscarriages, are they murder too?
And saying that if you're a christian that abortion is murder, just shows ignorant and backward you really are, because most women who have abortions are christians, and they do it for various reasons such as; rape, incest, the birth will harm or kill the woman, and unintended pregnancies. The thing is that education and not ignorance, like you post, should be available to all women, along with birth control medications, something your side continually fights against. And why is that its mostly middle aged white guys who are so concerned about womens health issues?
Below are some facts regarding abortion:

"Abortion is the termination of pregnancy by the removal or expulsion from the uterus of a fetus or embryo prior to viability.[note 1] An abortion can occur spontaneously, in which case it is usually called a miscarriage, or it can be purposely induced. The term abortion most commonly refers to the induced abortion of a human pregnancy.
Abortion, when induced in the developed world in accordance with local law, is among the safest procedures in medicine.[1] However, unsafe abortions result in approximately 70 thousand maternal deaths and 5 million disabilities per year globally.[2] An estimated 44 million abortions are performed globally each year, with slightly under half of those performed unsafely.[3] The incidence of abortion has stabilized in recent years,[3] having previously spent decades declining as access to family planning education and contraceptive services increased.[4] Forty percent of the world's women have access to induced abortions (within gestational limits).[5]
Induced abortion has a long history and has been facilitated by various methods including herbal abortifacients, the use of sharpened tools, physical trauma, and other traditional methods. Contemporary medicine utilizes medications and surgical procedures to induce abortion. The legality, prevalence, cultural and religious status of abortion vary substantially around the world. Its legality can depend on specific conditions such as incest, rape, severe fetal defects or the mother's health being at risk. In many parts of the world there is prominent and divisive public controversy over the ethical and legal issues of abortion."

"Approximately 205 million pregnancies occur each year worldwide. Over a third are unintended and about a fifth end in induced abortion.[3][6] Most abortions result from unintended pregnancies.[7][8] A pregnancy can be intentionally aborted in several ways. The manner selected often depends upon the gestational age of the embryo or fetus, which increases in size as the pregnancy progresses.[9][10] Specific procedures may also be selected due to legality, regional availability, and doctor or patient preference.
Reasons for procuring induced abortions are typically characterized as either therapeutic or elective. An abortion is medically referred to as a therapeutic abortion when it is performed to save the life of the pregnant woman; prevent harm to the woman's physical or mental health; terminate a pregnancy where indications are that the child will have a significantly increased chance of premature morbidity or mortality or be otherwise disabled; or to selectively reduce the number of fetuses to lessen health risks associated with multiple pregnancy.[11][12] An abortion is referred to as an elective or voluntary abortion when it is performed at the request of the woman for non-medical reasons."

    • I agree that abortion is between the women, her God, and her doctor. Why Government comes into it is because of money which is how the Government injects itself into most every aspect of our lives. Which is why we would all be better off if we could limit Government as much as we possibley can. If you respect yourself and appreciate your God given rights and freedoms then having some centralized authority make decisions for you should be something to minimize not encourage.

    • Doc,

What about all the children born to lazy, drunk, druggy and incompetent young parents. They grow up and show up at your clinic everyday and then you and all the religious right complain about them.?
Most likely Mary was porked by a mere mortal, but that's another story. No apple pie in a bottle for you!
