Did ACTC address the concern that the leak of patient trial data runs the risk of breach of patient confidentiality? Without analysis by independent peer review how are investors to be confident that this data leak is free of conflicts of interest and of high quality.
In my opinion, at the end of the day, the public health implications are troubling and pervasive.
eoinmnm: Good point. However, it is nearly impossible to keep good news quiet. Patients and their families who are happy about their treatments and good fortune tell friends, family members, and church/community acquaintances. Granted it becomes just a rumor until a news reporter or television crew interviews the patient, but nevertheless, the word often gets out. FWIW.
Thank Bio and everything you say is reasonable and I agree. I guess the differentiating element here is that family, friends, or acquaintances were not the source of the story but rather the head scientist of the company. One would think that a Non Disclosure Agreement would have at least been signed.
