While it may be days before Florida formally introduces Bill H-19 – also known as ‘Zimm’s Law’ – to its legislature, the courts have already handed a major victory to proponents of being an as**ole to someone in public and then shooting them when they beat you like the worthless stupid as**ole you are.
A jury of George Zimmerman’s peers, which one assumes consisted of people who fantasize regularly about harassing and then murdering strangers, found George Zimmerman not guilty of following, harassing, rightfully getting his #$%$ beat, and then eventually shooting a teenager, in a case where Zimmerman’s defense was that he followed, harassed, rightfully got his #$%$ beat, and then shot a teenager.
Legal analysts say Florida’s new-found acceptance for Bait and Murder is just a logical progression from the various Stand Your Ground laws passed in several of the dumb States recently.

elk- this was all started by the media because they thought Zimmerman was white. when they found out he was Hispanic it was to late for the media to back off. i watched the trial from start to finish and would have acquitted Zimmerman bases on Florida law, but i don't think anyone should be celebrating this decision like many did with the O.J. trial. When i see a senseless death i don't think anyone should celebrate it. I have seen this before, young kids of all colors who think they can kick the #$%$ out of someone and get killed trying to do it. kids at around Trayvon age, don't realize some people will kill you. everyone is packing a pistol. I am hoping kids will learn from this and think before they react, and i mean all children of all ethnic backgrounds. .I don't no if Zimmerman though he was going to die or not, but he will have to live with this the rest of his life. truly tragic and the death of Trayvon, Nicole or Ron, no one should be celebrating.
OMG, new development may throw out Florida's new Bait and Murder Law:
FLORIDA CONSIDERS ELIMINATING LAWS ALTOGETHER
ANDY BOROWITZ | The New Yorker | JULY 15, 2013
TALLAHASSEE (The Borowitz Report)—Arguing that its current system of laws is out of step with life in today’s Florida, a growing chorus of lawmakers in the state are arguing for a measure that would eliminate laws altogether.
“Florida is rife with laws that say ‘Do this, don’t do that,’ ” said Gov. Rick Scott, a supporter of the measure. “Speaking as a Floridian, I have found it exhausting pretending to obey them.”
There is broad support in the state for abolishing laws, according to a poll commissioned by the political action committee Citizens For a Lawless Florida.
According to that poll, a majority of Floridians favor ridding the state of laws, while a sizable number did not know that the state had any.
“We’ve been trying to remove laws piecemeal for the past few decades, but this measure seems like the most efficient way to take care of the whole problem,” Gov. Scott said.
For those who fear that eradicating Florida’s laws would wreak havoc on life in the state, Gov. Scott offered this reassurance: “Honestly, I don’t think you’ll notice a difference.”

Re: "HE DID NOT KNOW HOW OLD HE WAS. HE DID NOT ASK MARTIN HIS AGE BEFORE MARTIN STARTED BEATING THE FK OUT OF HIM....."
craig, you seem to think you know exactly what did and didn't happen between Zimmerman and Martin (and in a way that clearly makes Zimmerman look better). Did you also know that Zimmerman was previously charged with assaulting a police officer. That is not in itself definitively incriminating but it certainly means that none of us can be sure that Zimmerman (who as best as can be determined was following Martin) didn't relatively quickly become increasingly aggressive with Martin and possibly even to the point of pulling out his gun as he approached him. None of us can say Zimmerman did that but we can't say he didn't do that either.
