Do not support or vote for the immigration bill. The word illegal as in illegal immigrant means just that, illegal.
When people say we can't just round these people up and deport them, we don't have to. All you and your colleagues have to do is pass harsh penalties for hiring illegals and their job market will dry up and they will go back to Mexico on their own.
When people say that driving the illegals out of this country is heartless and cruel, the people who broke our laws should have contemplated that there would be a penalty for violating our laws. Isn't it just as heartless to rip an embezzler away from his or her family and put them in jail for breaking the law?
Doesn't the law stand for something? If it doesn't then where do you stop enforcing the law? Should our laws be enforced at all?
Your simplicity is most entertaining.
A to Q1 - Of course your laws (as do all man-made law) stands for something. The trick is knowing what that something is.
A to Q2 - The pre-condition is meaningless (see A to Q2). That said, you stop enforcing your law when said enforcement is constrained by or infringes upon your Constitution. Nota bene: Comprehension of your Constitution is required where those limits are.
A to Q3 - A profound question indeed. Well done! Best of luck finding your answer. Suggest an ancillary condition to whatever answer you derive be that enforcement should be apolitical, amoral, and equal across all spectra of your society.
There has to be a reconciliation of our laws and for the labor that we seem to need. No other country, including Mexico, would allow millions of people to enter their country illegally. Wanting to stop that is not racist
If we need these workers then we should expand the number of work visas and let people come here legally to work. No work visa and you're deported. There is no reason that everyone who comes here to work has to become a citizen. Of course if they desire to be they can apply. Likewise, we need to attract top level talent in technology, academia, the medical, professions etc.
A problem with the current debate is that after the last time this issue was addressed with promises from the left of never again, here we are again with millions more. That's why there is no trust. Read Teddy Kennedy's quotes on this.
You would have made an excellent and very successful slave owner. Congrats! I can't help but feel that the phrase "round these people up" flows right off the tongue very easily for you.
blue you are such a hypocrite. do you have any idea how many people have die trying to enforce the laws in this country. how many people have died just trying to stop the flow of drugs from Mexico. they way i look at it, any person who has purchase drugs illegally is responsible for those deaths.
