This would be funny, if it weren't so tragic. Obama didn't get it then and still hasn't learned.
"During the presidential debate on Monday evening, President Barack Obama deployed a Seinfeldian zinger to mock former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, the Republican presidential nominee. Romney had said that al Qaeda and other terrorist groups are “rushing in” as revolutions shake up the Muslim world.
“Gov. Romney, I'm glad that you recognize that al Qaeda is a threat,” Obama said, “because a few months ago when you were asked what's the biggest geopolitical threat facing America, you said Russia.”
“The 1980s are now calling to ask for their foreign policy back because the Cold War's been over for 20 years,” Obama said."
While I may not agree with many of Obama's policies, this is painful. Certainly orchestrated with Russia.
"President Barack Obama is a “low-IQ US president,” whose threat to launch a military offensive should nuclear talks fail is an oft-cited punchline in the Islamic Republic, particularly among children, an Iranian general said on Tuesday.
“The low-IQ US president and his country’s Secretary of State John Kerry speak of the effectiveness of ‘the US options on the table’ on Iran while this phrase is mocked at and has become a joke among the Iranian nation, especially the children,” General Masoud Jazayeri said, according to the semi-official Fars News Agency.
Quoting an Iranian General and taking what he says about an American President seriously is about as low as you can get, beach. If you are an American, you are an embarrassingly stupid one.
Beach I didn't give you the thumbs down...but you don't want to support your position by quoting the Fars news agency, which makes people magazine look like Scientific American.
Everyone knows we aren't going to Nuke the Iranians but we could block the straits or Hormuz and cut off their oil exports but good. Obama isn't the best at foreign policy, but he is viewed as less of an enemy by the general world community, which is a good thing. Both the Ukraine situation and Iran are very difficult conflicts for us and making one wrong step could be disastrous so it's really hard to judge how he is preforming.
In today's paper-Bush invaded Iraq w/o the world's permission w/o sanctions so why would they side against Putin now? It's a weak parallel but it's an easy way out. I say scan the net and use the cyber-bullies to fight. the world will laugh itself to peace.
"Romney offered a powerful retort: “Russia, I indicated, is a geopolitical foe…and I said in the same paragraph I said and Iran is the greatest national security threat we face. Russia does continue to battle us in the U.N. time and time again. I have clear eyes on this. I’m not going to wear rose-colored glasses when it comes to Russia or Mr. Putin…”
