    • Ace, you quoting Einstein is laughable, as you and your RWNJ friends still believe the world is flat, like you heads, and that Earth is the center of the Universe. In your dark backward world, people like Einstein would be burned at the stake for heresy.

    • From 1901 to 1909, Einstein was employed by the Swiss government patent examination office, as a patent examiner of electromechanical inventions applications. With a salary provided by the government to support himself and his wife, Einstein developed new ground breaking theories in physics. In 1905, while still working in the government patent office, he published four ground breaking papers: on the photoelectric effect, Brownian motion, special relativity, and the equivalence of mass and energy.

According to Wikipedia, the government patent office provided not just a salary, but it provided patent examination work on electromagnetic waves, and time: "Much of his work at the patent office related to questions about transmission of electric signals and electrical-mechanical synchronization of time, two technical problems that show up conspicuously in the thought experiments that eventually led Einstein to his radical conclusions about the nature of light and the fundamental connection between space and time."

Another ground breaking person just before Einstein was Herman Hollerith, who worked for the US census department, which commissioned him to build the first data-procession punch card computer to process the rapidly growing census data. With government funding, Hollerith successfully developed the first ever "commercial" data process computer. He then went into the private sector with this government funded computer technology, and he founded the IBM (International Business Machines) company, which eventually developed the IBM PC, which is the basis of all IBM PC clones in use today.

While Einstein worked at government agency, and government supported universities throughout his life, Hollerith left the public sector to found a private sector computer giant, IBM, using the new computer technologies developed with government funding.

In many areas, the partnership of government with the private sector has been very fruitful. One major exception is the

    • I thought all you RWNJs didn't like science? Seems strange that you would quote Albert Einstein.

    • ace, you get a thumbs down from some nut who disagrees with what? Freedom?

    • Still on the propaganda trail, ace?

It would not be impossible to prove with sufficient repetition and a psychological understanding of the people concerned that a square is in fact a circle. They are mere words and words can be molded until they clothe ideas and disguise. - Josef Goebbels
