I'll give an answer to my own question here and would like to hear from others.
I saw Frost on "Mad Money" back in January. What caught my attention was his connection to Ivax, a stock that I had made some money on back in the day. The stock popped the next day (Jan. 29) to a new 52-week high on big volume.
I did some research. More on Frost than OPK itself. His track record reads like a Junior Warren Buffett. I saw that he had been buying OPK shares almost daily for quite some time. I crossed my fingers and waited for an entry point I could be happy with. I got it. Now I am waiting for an opportunity to add more shares. Not sure if I'll get it.
What I am kicking myself for is not discovering OPK earlier. It sat there for YEARS at prices much below where I got in and Frost was buying the whole time. Anybody here get in back when the prices were sub-$4 or less? I'd like to hear some of your stories.
the_good_guy - the important thing in the end is, not how cheap one got in, but who makes the most on their purchase. I have many times been in on the bottom and left more $$$$ on the table than I want to admit. Those that bought @ $3 and get out at $10 may not make near as much as we that bought @ $4 & $5.
