Have any of you done any research into Grifols? This company wouldn't have just forked over 10s of millions of dollars if they didn't think there was huge potential for what Aradigm does. Grifols flies under the radar. It's biggest and best move was to buy out Talecris. Look at what happened to the stock price of GRFS after that buy out. Grifols is a very shrewd and well run company. Don't be surprised to see Grifols buy out Aradigm if on going trial prove successful. This could very possibly be a huge sleeper hit if all goes according to plan and Grifols investment seems to point to something that works and works well.
Apparently from their balance sheet, they have $0.5 billion to invest and develop new products. I think this assures ARDM going forward of continued support, providing they us the inhalational Cipro in the most advantageous clinical trials. This like any other "deal" is based upon achieving scientific and clinical milestones. BTW, the manufacture of liposomal antibiotics is down to an art form for several CA based contract manufacturers. Liposomes have been around for 50 years and their time has come.
