At this point i'll simply say that i'm glad that the last couple of days i went to a neutral rating. As for anything else i think we'll just have to see what the report looks like and what is said about his leaving.
Generally speaking though, if its true..whether or not it is his decision i'd prefer to see him leave even sooner. I've never been a fan of any manager or employee hanging around after a decision is made to have them leave. It's disruptive and not in the companies interest. And particularly so with a CEO in the middle of a restructuring.
As for anything else..we'll just have to see. Unless i see otherwise i continue to believe that tomorrows report will show a slight beat to estimates. Perhaps it's just not enough of a beat and Bens time simply ran out as did everyones confidence in him to lead the company through this.
But Ben is your "hero." For the past 6 months I've listened to your personal attacks and claims that I was a short because I said Ben was doing a lousy job and needed to be replaced. Well now the Board agrees with me. Are they all shorts too? Why aren't you attacking them? Or how about an apology?
The way I see it, if the board had fired him 6 months ago like you wanted, they would have had to pay him for breach of contract. If his contract expires and it's not renewed, no golden parachute required. If he had years to go in his contract it would be different, 6 months, waiting was the smart move.
your misquotes of me are quite frankly..sickening. I continually said i'd give Ben a C+ to B grade at best. My "attacks" directed at you were about the stock price and my bullishness and your negativity at the lows.
And we both have seen how that has gone with the stock up 80%.
ALU is bigger than any one person...whether its the CEO or not. As far as i'm concerned Ben can and frankly..should..leave tomorrow if a decision has been made. Whether it's his decision or not.
What is important is the restructuring and how we now move forward.
This will be my only reply to you because frankly..you're nothing more than a master at twisting my words.
And, if anyone is to apologize it should be you. For that..and for your having been so wrong about this being a strong buy at the lows.
