Higher material costs, higher labor costs and higher freight costs are eating into profits. Do you think people are going to buy 140 dollar shoes after trying to fill up their gas tank, pay higher food costs etc., and when they find out their favorite athlete at the olympics wears a pair of shoes they want cost 225-250 dollars people aren't going to have the money to spend on things like Nike. I love Nike shoes, they're the only one's I wear when I run but it's time for a pullback because of higher margin costs, and higher prices across the board, consumers first have to pay for everything that's important to them, You can't fill up your gas tank w/anything Nike makes, you can't eat anything Nike makes, Nike is just not on the top of the list as an important, must have to survive purchase. Sorry guys, it's just reality.
I get out more than I should, what's your excuse for higher gas and food prices and people being maxed out on CC's, not much room for 140 dollar shoes for the avg. family, the future in this economy is bleak no matter what the govt. tries to lie about, if I'm wrong I'll say so, if you're wrong will you?
Hey mfme10...you make a brave sound with the intellectualizing. Tomorrow/Friday NKE is likely moving higher...not going down to 107.
If you are WRONG...will you be man enough to admit being WRONG?!?
No Long-Term Sentiment shown...are you short... unwilling to admit??
