honest answer here. this is a company of revolutionary products. revolution REQUIRES "future" vision. This is not someting that CAN be TRAINED. not something that CAN be TAUGHT. without revolution, AAPL is just another electronic gadget company. so my take is STEVE JOBS > AAPL. indeed, Steve will do well without AAPL, but AAPL will die without Steve.
Making me laugh - these products are hardly "revolutionary" - just good sleek design and very slick marketing - I have no position in AAPL - I will gladly switch my iPhone 3GS out when contract expires for something where I don't have to be locked into using the ridiculous iTunes. Please give me drag and drop. And I will buy yet another Windows PC when the time comes.
Anyways - I wouldn't worry too much - no doubt Jobs timed the announcement because he knows AAPL will have a blowout earnings release - but I think it could easily be the last one - if the stock is down significantly in the morning might buy in - but will sell by end of week
