Many people are getting discouraged because apple is nickle and diming people over the iphone 5. If you buy an iphone 5 you have to buy all attachments with it, including a cable to charge the phone. So instead of it costing you 400, it will cost you around 550 for the phone. I was at Best Buy this weekend and they are discouraging consumers from the iphone and that's the truth, no bashing here. This is why the sales are down, it is cheaper to buy a different brand phone than the iphone. I am a apple guy and love apple, but this pricing model is no good. Apple won't reach it's orice targets with nickel and diming consumers when consumers are already strapped as it is.
iPhone 5 will use a 19-pin connector instead of 30-pin, according to reports
Change means that all current iPhone accessories must be replaced
New connector could allow phone to be thinner and enable magnetic cable
That means everyone that has car chargers, docks, you name it have to buy them all over again. Google it...No one is lying here, that's the truth. How many people out there have accessories? Almost all do.
I just went to the Apple Store (web) and went to iPhone 5 "What's in the box" and it's: iPhone 5 with iOS 6, Documentation, Apple EarPods with Remote and Mic, One-year limited hardware warranty, Lightning to USB Cable, 90 days complimentary telephone support, USB Power Adapter.
Well thanks for your reply, you beat me to it. The only big problem for the 5 is availabiltiy. You might wait a while before you get it. Sales were over seven million before stock mkt opend this a.m. and the reports of 5 million by some media I found very puzzling. The 5 according to reports is sold out and furthermore in Eastern Europe are being resold for as much as 3500 dollars. That is factual and indicates the demand for the 5 is far higher than anyone has reported in the media. It also indicates the 5 is underpriced, which with an 8 pixil camera (at least $300) and mapping(Tom Toms sell for 150) plus the phone is certainly a deal considering you are only carrying a phone.
