This morning, CNBC put a poll on the front of the Yahoo! Finance (Nasdaq: YHOO) homepage asking "How interested would you be in buying an iWatch?" Options were 'Very Interested', 'Somewhat Interested', and 'I already have a watch'.
In total, about 28,035 votes were cast at last check and the majority winner was 'C': 'I already have a watch'. The answer got 18,197 votes, or about 65 percent of the total.
An argument could be made that a similar reaction came from the peanut gallery when whispers of an Apple tablet were circulating a few years back. Apple's job isn't to meet demand; Apple is out to create such an amazing product that you can't help but want one.
Further, will millions off folks using iTunes, iOS, and Mountain Lion already, should Apple make an appealing smart wristwatch, devices are more than likely going to fly off the shelf.
CNBC's Yahoo! Finance poll is far from scientific, but it might make some investors think a little bit harder about Apple's continued appeal.
