    Next Weeks Apple Catalyst

"Leaked tech specifications for Samsung’s next Galaxy smartphone show it to be a high powered device, with nearly seven times the processing speed of the iPhone 5 and a high-end camera and screen. The device could be an iPhone killer if Apple doesn’t release an anticipated and updated iPhone 5S — even then, the device may be playing catch-up with the specs of the Galaxy S IV and could be more on line with the HTC One.

The premiere of the Galaxy S IV in a little over a week should give a good idea of how strong Samsung will come on for the rest of the year, and any situations arising with Sharp may show how the tides are turning on"...

The specifications on the Samsung device show a 1.8GHz eight-core Exynos processor and 2GB of RAM. It will also taut advancements on the other high spec features expected from flagship smartphones. For comparison, the iPhone 5 has a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and 1 GB of RAM, the Nokia (NYSE:NOK) Lumia 920 has a 1.5GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM, and the BlackBerry (NASDAQ:BBRY) Z10 matches the Lumia 920, but with 2GB of RAM.

This means Samsung may be coming out with a device with almost seven times the power of the current iPhone. That kind of power could be enough to upset the sales of all the other leading device manufacturers.
