They better be buying back at these levels. If they aren't, they've proven there is no hope for them and have no idea what to do with their cash. Won't know for sure until next earnings call.
AAPL needs to take a play out of QCOM's book when it comes to buybacks and dividends.
Man, you are optimistic! This stock is stuck below $500/share (IMO it won't even get that high) until a positive catalyst. I would love to see $550/share ... but like I said, need positive catalyst to bring back the institutional investors - nobody wants to catch a falling knife.
It's nice to actually be able to talk on this board without all the b.s. messages from Pharma and friends.
If we get the conference call everyone is hoping for we could easily gap up to $480 Monday morning.
Pureinvestor, if you are directing your remarks to me, please look below and let me know why we couldn't gap up to $480. If you're specifically talking about the $550 point, then we are on the same page. Thanks!
I never claimed to be a chart expert, but appreciate your opinion. I'm using the following table though if interested:
CURRENT PRICE 443.66, at resistance, 446.5 ± 7.14, type double, strength 9
RESISTANCE ABOVE +6.6% at 472.7 ± 7.56, type single, strength 5
+13.3% at 502.9 ± 8.05, type double, strength 9
+15.8% at 513.8 ± 8.22, type double, strength 9
+21.3% at 538.2 ± 8.61, type triple, strength 10
It could happen in a hurry..... the decline was parabolic, like the advance..... so the 50% recovery could happen equally as fast...... Parabolic moves up and down, leave little support/resistance levels in the trail....
a slow rise won't work, too much ground to cover. Apple went down while the broad markets rallied big, APPL needs to go up as fast as possible to catch up. If it doesn't have a week where it's up 50pts+ then I doubt it will ever recover.
we think there was AAPL buying their own stock today, we posted that earlier today that a rumor was possibly out there, and from the size of the run up it could be true, not just op/ex volume on big March Friday
