FYI we have an Iphone, Ipod and Ipad in the house. This thing runs circles aournd the Ipad. It can run full blown Tradestation, Office, Flash, you name it. It has microSD, Full USB, and HDMI out. Can't think of one advantage the Ipad has. Did I mention it was $419 on CowBoom?
price check? $419 for used or new? Cowboom shows $469 pre-owned with minor dents/scratches...
Brand new this runs a little bit more than $469? Undiscounted it runs $649-$699??
apples to apples please
Why do people makes posts like this and lie about fictitious purchases they never made? Seems rather pathetic. This jokester was raving about the Acer W510 tablet last October. In November he claimed to have bought the Galaxy S3 but then in February said he was using the Motorola Droid RAZR Max HD phone.
Back in October I was considering the Acer W510. It was majorly delayed, so I put the purchase on hold. Did I ever say I bought one? NO. In November I bought the Galaxy S3 but experienced reception problems. Verizon exchanged it for the Motorola Droid RAZR Max HD, which I'm quite happy with. Why do you assume I'm making things up? Care to make a wager that I have the reciept and I'll post it. Make it worth my while. How much cash do you have?
It's good to see someone tell the truth about how weak-kneed Apple products are! Microsoft wound so much into one package that most Mac users don't have the brain capacity to understand it all. Remember, they just listen to music and watch videos. They never do any real work on their toystations.
No question about it, Windows 8 has been a major failure out of the gate as far as a launch goes. Let's see if you compare them to an Edsel this time next year. Remember they didn't kill when they first introduced the Xbox either. I'm telling you I've "played" with an Ipad plenty (we own one). But this is the first replacement for my laptop that I can actually WORK on. 2 year old Lenovo laptop goes on eBay tomorrow.
Good for you. It's all a matter of preference and you obviously had little invested in the Apple ecosystem so you won't miss it on the Samsung (or you will invest in theirs for whatever it is worth). That doesn't mean that consumers will not see pluses and minuses with either product. Different uses for different purposes. That's why some buy the Microsoft Surface tablet (for fuller Microsoft Office functionality). My teenagers would revolt if I took away their Apple products, but theirs, yours, or my preferences won't dictate consumer patterns.
