I don't know who would be any better to replace him. The problem is that there simply aren't many new concepts left that can be huge breakthroughs. No one else is coming up with huge new products either. If AAPL can just keep executing what they do profitably and raise the dividends a bit then this is just another long term investment stock. The days of spectacular growth are over. Maybe it hits 100 post split within a year but that is the extent of what I consider likely or possible.. GLL

Cook played a key role in saving Apple from bankruptcy in the late 1990s.
Cook RAN the company both unofficially and as official Acting CEO for the last couple of years of Jobs' life.
People are like children. Have some patience. The new products are coming in the Fall when they will be of the most use. Just before the holidays.
All this technical stuff and usability improvements is what makes all the "goodies" work. Not every book is a comic book full of pretty pictures. Sometimes you need to read a real book with no pictures.
iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite will be available in the Fall, as usual. That means the new hardware will be announced in the Fall, as usual.

Included in the dev kit is this "health kit" thing. That will likely be used by the "iWatch." They opened TouchID to dev APIs so when the new iPhones and iPads and maybe "iWatch" has TouchID scanners, there will be apps that make use of it.
Get the idea?
