He tried to hide the fact that he is gay - that is a disclosure issue, it is the same as if a CEO tried the fact that he is a heroin addict or a child molester
There's no way you can compare these issues. But investors do have the right to know if their CEO is gay or not. Some folks in this country believe it is a moral issue. Do you think that the United States is ready for a gay president? Do you feel Apple is ready for a gay CEO?
Why should he disclose something that is now considered as normal and natural as putting one foot in front of the other when you walk. I don't personally agree with that(I am ruled by my faith and common sense) but society has spoken.
