Inflation ... no increase in wages ...
what? The fact that your wages are buying less and less each pay period ... they can't see inflation.
Great analysis CNBC.
Ummm, there is SIGNIFICANT inflation, probably 2-3x the CPI data the USG releases. What planet have you been visiting? There is no law that says wages must go up along with prices of things (houses, gas, cars, tuition, milk, eggs, ad nauseum). The result is less buying power with your money, and an effective pay DECREASE. Other bubbles will pop, as Joe Overextended Homeowner can't pay his bills and his house gets repossessed, but that's for another day...
Hey I agree ... prices are obviously increasing ... I was simply commenting on the CNBC analysis. Their premise was without wage increases the threat of inflation was minimal.
And if anyone believes that there is no inflation and that the threat of significant inflation is minimal is kidding themselves.
Thanks for your input.
"We save human lives all over the globe "please" We can't even feed and house our own."
Let's talk Salk. Let's talk penicilin, let's talk cornea transplants, let's talk innoculations WORLD WIDE, and just recently, let's talk the over-whelming amount of American dollars which went to typhoon relief, and/or earthquake relief. Those are the simple ones.
Give me the name of ONE able bodied American who is not fed, clothed and housed. It may not be what you wish to eat, dress in or live in but "they" must be satisfied with their individual life styles. The fact is, I respect their choices of life style while you wish everyone to live your image of what YOU think they they ought to living.
Typical liberal thought process. No respect for human choice.
Individual americans have done fantastic things for the human race no argument here. As a percentage of our GDP we actually donate less than several other nation's on a percentage basis. As far as the last part of your argument. Where do you live "pleasentville" Fill your tank and take a drive in any direction. Do you really think all americans are fed clothed and have HOMES!
focal try looking at the facts instead of just imagining the world the way you wish it was.
What nations? Name them.
I now live just outside of Boston and have traveled this nation from one end to the other, north, south, east and west for 60 years. Where have you been?? I have lived in more areas than you can pronounce and met more people than you from all sorts of life styles. I have visited more countries than most people on this earth and been welcomed as an American in all.
Any American can recieve an education if they wish, they can support themselves and family if they wish or they can chose their own life styles if they wish. It's their for the taking. Every American has the choice.
You are showing your ignorance.
You are welcome to read the links I posted as well.
Poverty in America, Penicillin inventor not American. The French started DR. w/o Borders. Red Cross was from Swiss. But by all means do not let the facts get in the way of your understanding of things.
Read couplover excellent post 18046 It states the case better than I ever could. So you think if I had an I.Q. of 80 and I was born in a poor family in the south I'd have the same choice's as someone born in boston. Don't make me come up there and yank that silver spoon out of your mouth.
