Of 250 trading days a year, you can count on one hand the number of days Japan doesn't follow the US market. If a people were put on this earth born to follow meekly behind others, that nation has the edge on all of us. Their currency is among the strongest in the world, but not because they took risk and rose to the top of the heap, it is just they never take any risk and wind up with all the chips they started with, while the rest of the world paves the way and takes chances. I'd rather lose my shirt in creative attempts, then wait for all the hard work to be done, and cringe before the gut wrenching responsibility to take risk. When the US is a burnt out husk, who will the Japanese emulate then?
