    Why banks win.

Jefferson said, give the banks the oversight of the making of monetary policy, and the banks will own you.

Too big to fail meant too big to punish, lest you cut off the very arm that feeds your campaign.

It wasn't enough for the banks to enslave America for 30 years to pay off a mortgage, they had to defraud themselves, investors, import that crap overseas, destroy the dollar in a competition of who can make prices competitive by destroying the value of the world's reserve currency.

When will the country say enough?

    • "Gentlemen, I have had men watching you for a long time and I am convinced that you have used the funds of the bank to speculate in the breadstuffs of the country. When you won, you divided the profits amongst you, and when you lost, you charged it to the bank. You tell me that if I take the deposits from the bank and annul its charter I shall ruin ten thousand families. That may be true, gentlemen, but that is your sin! Should I let you go on you will ruin fifty thousand families, and that would be my sin! You are a den of vipers and thieves. I have determined to rout you out, and by the Eternal God, I will rout you out!"

      Andrew Jackson
      1836

To the bankers of the Second Bank of the U.S. in the drawing room of the White House who contested his vetoing the bank's charter renewal.

    • I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs.
      ~ Thomas Jefferson, (Attributed)
      3rd president of US (1743 - 1826)

"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies..."

"The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs."
