You're still in the middle of the fight. You need to stand above the fray or outside it and see the big picture.
Our govt has always been wrong on borrow and spend. It is more wrong to have that fight in the middle of a Depression. You don't not spend out of a Depression, that was learned in the 30's FIVE times until war diverted us and started the machines of manufacture.
I am missing your logic. You say don't fight while the house is burning, but if you compromise you just continue doing what you said didn't work in the 30's. I think you have to fight...we are going to burn either way...its just a matter of time...but politicians will always say burn later.
You miss the two step in this systematic debt reduction. First get the economy moving even if it takes more cash printed to get to the guy at the bottom rung, and then pull in the reins over the long term so as not to destabilize.
You're not going to get one idea across without the other.
